Barcelona Health Hub, in collaboration with Col·legi de Metges de Barcelona, Esade Ban and Barcelona Activa, are organizing the first e-Health Investment Forum in Barcelona, a meeting point where digital health startups meet investors active in digital health and coming from Spain, Europe and beyond.
It will take place on 29th October at 5pm CET time as part of the #BHHSummit and will be sponsored by Amazon Web Services.
This first e-Health Investment Forum edition will be focused on telemedicine solutions. Telemedicine consists of providing health services remotely, through information and communication technology (phone, email, video calls, chats, bots, image exchange, remote monitoring, etc.) and allows monitoring, diagnosing, treating or informing patients and / or professionals.
There will be 2 different categories: Early stage, looking for less than 1 million euros and Growth stage, looking for more than a million euros. A maximum of 10 solutions will be selected to pitch on October 29th.
The winner of each track, growth and pre-seed/seed, will receive $25,000 in Amazon AWS credits to be used across all AWS portfolios. The other finalists will receive $10,000 in AWS credits each. All the pitching companies will benefit from a business mentoring session with Amazon team prior to the event to help them prepare their pitch.

Lauren Doolan is the Ventures Operations Manager at StartUp Health, which was founded in 2011 to invest in a global army of entrepreneurs, called Health Transformers, to achieve health moonshots. In her role, Lauren works closely with the Investment Committee to source, review, and select new Health Transformers to invest in and join the StartUp Health portfolio. Additionally, Lauren manages the StartUp Health fellowship program. Prior to joining the StartUp Health team in 2014, Lauren was an Account Executive at Yelp.
